“I find the magic of ceramics comes from its dialogue between the natural landscape and the transformative power of fire.”
It is both the captivating language of the dream world and a discovery of what it means to be human. It is there for anyone willing to listen.
I explore with continuous curiosity and awe the simplicity of the materials. Slowing down, transporting myself to another place and time. Being immersed in my craft develops a powerful relationship between myself and unearthly things. There is a mercy and transformation that occurs when letting nature run its course; allowing the universe to lay out the pieces. I aim to evoke a reverence for the examined life and spirit through my stoneware.
